I won't be back here. Ever.
Food was terrible and the place was dirty and smelly.
The only reason I gave two stars is because the bartender was great. -

Loved the patio facing the river walk. The ambiance and views were beautiful!
It was crowded. Never once became empty or slow while we were there.
The chips are thicker but homemade. We loved the them. The salsa was the bomb, had a great kick to it!
My kids ordered the chicken quesadilla. It's pulled chucked. Some dark some white meat. My kids loved the white meat parts. The side of quac that came with it was hands down best quac ever. Had a super smooth texture.
My hubby ordered the beef enchilada and MAN OH MAN did they pack his plate full to the top of food. We agreed they were the best enchiladas we have ever had.
I ordered the chicken tacos. It was a messy plate- because again, they pack your plates full. I could only eat 1 of the 2 tacos.
We sat down immediately but they were busy. So getting a waiter over to out table was hard sometimes. Overall- we will be coming back! -

I was a bit disappointed with our lunch meal today.
It's Gringo food.
Very oily.
The hard shell tacos reminded me of grammar school cafeteria tacos.
The cheese nachos consisted of a blob of cheese on chips. (We thought we ordered the chili con queso).
My cheese quesadilla was dripping oil, but decent.
The menu is limited. Don't go here if you are looking for vegetarian or seafood options.
What the salsa lacks in flavor it makes up in spice. One extra star for the salsa and the friendly wait staff. -

Mexican manhattan is a hidden gem on the San Antonio riverwalk. On the surface looks can be deceiving based on the outdated face of the entrance and interior appearance. But ask to sit on the patio which overlooks the San Antonio riverwalk. Cheese enchilada are great, as well as chalapulas. I know you will enjoy it.
